If you're new to technology then you might be familiar with a few terms like Privacy, Anonymous, the Internet etc. If we think of privacy then it is the most superior subject. But when we are on the web then sometimes hackers may target you, so to prevent that, nowadays people use web applications like TOR. TOR is an application that helps you to surf anonymously on the web. In this post, I will help you download and install the TOR web browser.
The journey from downloading to installing has been divided into 4 phases:
- About TOR and its official website and select your operating system.
- Download the .exe file.
- Running/opening the downloaded file.
- Installation of TOR.
STEP 1: Download its setup from its official website: https://www.torproject.org
STEP 2: Selecting your Operating system then click on Downloads.
In my case, I am choosing Windows so the download link for Windows is Download for Windows.
STEP 3: Now double click to open the .exe file, and run the program. A Tor Browser installs window will open asking you whether you want to run that file. Click ‘Run’ and follow the installation instructions.
STEP 4: Click finish and the Tor Browser will complete the installation. Shortcuts will also be added to the desktop and the start menu.

Now we have downloaded TOR and installed it on our system. We know that the Tor browser is an internet browser that allows users to surf the web anonymously. Tor is a worldwide network of servers specifically made for private communication.
